We’re On A Mission And Here’s Why

Put simply:

We want to make your life easier

We want to improve your health

We want to breakdown stigmas

Let’s delve a little deeper…

Our mission is simple, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easy, the rate of STIs is on the rise in Australia for one reason, people aren’t being tested as regularly as they should be or at all and we intend to change that.

Why are we so passionate about making people pee in cups and get basic blood tests?

Let’s play a little game of Did You Know:

Did you know that in 2012 the number of people who were diagnosed with Chlamydia had tripled since the last decade?1

Did you know that the 86K+ people who were diagnosed in with Chlamydia in 2014 alone were estimated to be apart of a much larger number of people who had Chlamydia?2

Did you know between 2008 and 2014 the occurrence of Gonorrhoea more than doubled as well?2

Pretty alarming stuff right? If you don’t think so head on over here and read some more current stats about STIs.

It’s not just the increasing numbers that have given us cause for alarm though; it’s the fact that many STIs like Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are seriously underestimated. Even the ones that are easily cured can have very serious consequences, like infertility. Any STI when left to its own devices can have life-altering results and it’s really important to us that everyone knows it.

Not to mention you could unknowingly pass something very nasty onto someone you love.

Find out just how serious these infections can be when left untreated.

So that’s why we decided to remove every excuse in the book.

With a Stigma Health STI test there is:

  • No awkward conversation with the doctor about why
  • No need for multiple visits to the doctor and a Pathology Centre and potentially time off work to do all that
  • No need to pay for multiple doctors appointments

Your Stigma Health Pathology test referral will cost you $29.99, your appointment at the Pathology Centre will take a small amount of your day compared to the usual process and your results are delivered to you securely and in the privacy of your own home and if you need more help we’re here for that too.

The tricky thing is we cannot achieve our mission without you so please help us reduce the number of STIs in Australia by getting tested today!

Help Us Breakdown The Stigma

There’s a reason we’re called what we are, it’s because we’re about more than making one aspect of your general healthcare stress-free and awkward-free.

We want to breakdown the stigma attached to STIs.

In order to reduce those rising numbers of STIs we just touched on people not only need to be getting tested, we need to start a more open and positive conversation about sexual health.

STIs affect people from all different walks of life so why are they such a taboo topic? Maybe if we talked about them a bit more getting tested wouldn’t be so daunting and everyone would do it regularly!

So help us breakdown the STI stigma by joining our conversation…

That isn’t all about STIs, sometimes we share fun sex stuff too, sometimes we give you important and informative healthcare information and sometimes we just muse over the marvels of the internet because we like cat videos too.

Become an advocate for stopping the rise of STIs. Every revolution starts with a simple conversation.
